Leaf, root, bark & stalk · small batch

Tea, the way it grows — in good company.

B.U.T. is a small tea house choosing leaves, roots, bark, and stalk in small lots. No tea bags, no shortcuts — just the plant, and the notes to brew it well.

Every plant brews differently. That's the whole point.

The ritual

Three numbers, one good cup.

Good brewing isn't fussy — it just wants the right water and a little patience. Every brewing recommendation here is tested, so the numbers on the label are the ones that actually taste best.

  1. 01

    Heat

Herbs, roots, and bark want fully hot water — straight off the boil.

    100°C

  2. 02

    Brew

Set a timer — leaves steep, roots and bark simmer.

    4–12 min

  3. 03

    Again

Some herbs give a second cup — re-brew when the label says they hold up.

Our story

Every reason not to start began with the same word.

So I kept it, gave it three periods, and got to work. B.U.T. — Be You Tea. Behind it is one person, choosing leaves, roots, bark, and stalk in small lots, and testing every brew until the numbers on the label are the ones that actually taste right.

Because every “but” I heard was really someone else's idea of who I should be. So take the cup that suits you, not the one that's trending. Be you.
